PHOTOS: Rosemount Boys Track and Field Wins Section 3AAA True Team Meet
The Irish boys will head to state, while the girls finished fourth at the section event.
The Rosemount boys track and field team earned a trip to the Class AAA True Team state meet by winning the Section 3 AAA title this week in Apple Valley.
The Irish compiled 816 points at the event, beating Apple Valley’s second place finish of 758 points. Rosemount will compete at the May 20 state meet at Stillwater Area High School. The meet begins at 4 p.m.
On the girls side, Rosemount finished fourth overall with a 685.5 team finish. Prior Lake won the meet with 967.5 points, earning a spot at the state meet.

The meet began Tuesday, but inclement weather postponed some events until Wednesday.

Joe Bjorklund first place at shot put.
Brandt Berghuis second place at shot put.
Goaner Deng first in the 400 meter dash.
Chandler Dye first in the 800 meter run.

Rachel Schow fourth in the 100 meter dash.
Natalie Busher second in the high jump.
Thana Hussein fifth in the 400 meter dash and fourth in the 200 meter dash.
