Rosemount Area Arts Council Hosts Inaugural Writer's Festival & Book Fair
The Rosemount Area Arts Council is hosting a writer's festival and book fair on Saturday, March 18th at The Steeple Center.

The Rosemount Area Arts Council is excited to host our Inaugural Writer's Festival & Book Fair on Saturday, March 18th at The Steeple Center. Registration is open for the March 18 daylong Writers Festival which starts at 9:30 with keynote, Mark Hirsch, author of "ThatTree." and ends at 4:30pm. The event includes 20 workshops and panels presented by publishing experts--$15 each. The free book fair starts at 10:30am and ends at 4pm and features 60 authors and publishing-related vendors on hand to answer questions and provide information and sell their books. Workshop themes are: 1) Getting Started, which includes basis
information for the many aspiring authors who attend. 2) Genre delves
into the how-to needed to get the story onto paper, and what to
include. 3) Publication covers information on publishing options like
self/independent publishing, hiring a mentoring publishing company,
seeking an agent, or finding a royalty publisher. 4) Promotion
focuses on marketing, social media, having a platform, developing your
email list, etc. The event has something for writers of all abilities
and interests.
