Rosemount Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested

One man was arrested last week after an alleged bank robbery in the south Twin Cities metro.

ROSEMOUNT, MN — One man was arrested last week after an alleged bank robbery in the south Twin Cities metro. On Tuesday, June 13 at 4:49 p.m., the Rosemount Police Department responded to a report of a robbery at the Merchants Bank, located on Chippendale Avenue in Rosemount.

Officers responding were told that a lone male suspect presented a demand note to a teller. The suspect fled the scene after obtaining an undisclosed amount of money from the teller, according to authorities. The suspect was last seen leaving the business.

Police say no weapon was displayed and no injuries were reported.

On June 13 just before 7 p.m., Michael Thomas Olin, 37, of Hibbing, was arrested by the St. Peter Police Department and booked in the Nicollet County Jail, pending charges, according to a news release.
