Rosemount Girls Compete at Section Dance Team Meet

Irishettes dance team performs well, but doesn't advance to state in the competitive Section 1AAA dance team meet

Rosemount High School's Irishettes dance team danced up a storm but failed to advance to the state meet out of the super competitive Secion 1AAA meet Saturday held at Bloomington Kennedy High School.

The Irishettes performed the jazz song "Faith" and danced to "Floor is On Fire" in the hick kick division.

Minnesota high school dance team heavyweight Spring Lake Park went two-for-two Saturday in the 2011 Section 3AAA dance team tournament, winning team titles in both the high kick and jazz divisions and qualifying for state in both events.
