Rosemount High School Honors Its Fallen Soldiers

Memorial plaque presentation prior to Homecoming game on Friday night honors high school alumni that have given their lives for the nation.

Prior to Rosemount High School's Friday night Homecoming football game, the community took time to remember its fallen soldiers in a pre-game ceremony that included a plaque presentation inscribed with the names of RHS alumni that had died in battle since World War I.

Jill Stephenson, mother of RHS graduate and Ben Kopp, who died while serving in the Afghanistan in July 2009, presented the memorial plaque to principal John Wollersheim.

The plaque has the names of all 17 RHS alumni who have died in military service since Rosemount High School opened in 1918 and will be displayed in the school's east trophy case.
