Rosemount Restaurant Robbed, Suspect Escaped: Police

Authorities in Rosemount are looking for a suspect after a restaurant was robbed at gunpoint early Monday, police said.

ROSEMOUNT, MN — Authorities in Rosemount are looking for a suspect after a restaurant was robbed at gunpoint early Monday, police said. On Aug. 21, 6:40 a.m., the Rosemont Police Department responded to a report of a robbery that had occurred at the Taco John's located at 15085 Canada Avenue.

The initial responding officers were informed by the manager that alone male suspect entered a back door armed with a handgun and demanded money. The suspect fled the scene after obtaining undisclosed amount of money from the manager, according to police.

Authorities say the suspect concealed his identity by placing clothing over his face. He is described by police as a white male wearing a black "Ecko" hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. Officers searched the surrounding area but were unable to locate anyone matching the suspect description, according to a news release. This case remains under investigation by the Rosemount Police Department.
