Scores of Apple Valley, Rosemount Residents Run in Twin Cities Marathon

Jason Mansur was the top Apple Valley finisher, while Michelle Goodwin was the first Rosemount resident to cross the finish line.

More than 110 runners from Apple Valley and Rosemount completed the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon on Sunday.

According to unofficial results on the marathon website, 8,781 runners finished the course.

APPLE VALLEY RUNNERS

Jason Mansur was the top finisher among the more than 70 Apple Valley residents who crossed the finish line. Mansur, 26, covered the 26.2-mile course in 2 hours, 39 minutes and 17 seconds, good enough for 75th place overall. He also was 27th out of 977 runners in the men’s 22-29 age group.

The top female finisher from Apple Valley was Alicia Traut, who finished with a time of 3 hours, 9 minutes and 35 seconds. Traut, 24, placed 440th overall and 50th out of 3,687 female finishers. She also was 17th out of 1,142 runners in the women’s 22-29 age group.

The top 10 Apple Valley finishers were Mansur; John Schwerkoske, with a time of 3:03:39; Nick Christianson, 3:04:05; Traut; Eileen Bonnert, 3:23:24; Daniel Murray, 3:38:47; Ryan Tooley, 3:34:42; Christine Walsh, 3:37:34; Deb Humphrey, 3:37:34; and Ryan Joyner, 3:42:04.

ROSEMOUNT RUNNERS

Michelle Goodwin was the top finisher among the more than 40 Rosemount residents who crossed the finish line. Goodwin, 34, covered the course in 3 hours, 7 minutes and 21 seconds, which placed her 401st overall, 47th among female runners and 12th out of 696 runners in the women’s 30-34 age group.

The top male runner from Rosemount was Rudy Regalado, who finished with a time of 3 hours, 9 minutes and 36 seconds. Regalado, 47, placed 441st overall and 29th out of 582 runners in the men’s 45-49 age group.

The top 10 Rosemount finishers were Goodwin; Regalado; Jim Browning, with a time of 3:12:36; Diane Weyrens, 3:25:07; Aaron Smith, 3:26:23; Heather Gray, 3:35:36; Brian Schultz, 3:37:47; Jeff Schultz, 3:40:35; Jamal Abdulahi, 3:45:38 and Paul Stein, 3:47:49.
