Seasonal Horticulturalist

The City of Rosemount is accepting applications for a Seasonal Horticulturist position. The Seasonal Assistant Horticulturalist focuses on all areas of horticulture and gardening; responsibilities include working with a crew on installation, care, and maintenance of flowers and other plant materials at various sites throughout the City. Hours will vary depending on the weather and time of year. Up to 40 hours a week; approximately a 3 month assignment.

Minimum qualifications: High school diploma or G.E.D. or current student status, be at least 18 years old, have a valid driver’s license, and the ability to successfully pass a background check. Knowledge of plant varieties, their growth characteristics, and maintenance requirements. Willingness to work nights and weekends. Preferred Qualification: Associates Degree in horticulture or related degree, previous experience in horticulture or related field, pesticide and CDL licensure. 2016 Pay Range: $14.00 to $16.00 per hour.
