State Legislature Election Results In Dakota County

DAKOTA COUNTY, MN — With 12 state House seats and six state Senate seats this cycle, voters in Dakota County played an important role in determining the makeup of the Minnesota Legislature. On Election Day, state Democratic senate candidates swept the board in Dakota County, going six for six.

Democrats also won nine out of the 13 House seats that were up for grabs in the county.

Following the election, Democrats will hold a 69 to 65 majority in the Minnesota House. Republicans will hold a 34 to 33 majority in the Minnesota Senate.
