APPLE VALLEY, MN — Donations are pouring in for the family of a 4-year-old died who died after being left in a hot car in Saint Paul. Riley died of hyperthermia last week when he was left in a parking lot outside CHS Field, according to authorities.

"Our family is devastated as Riley was tragically taken from us on May 4, 2019," reads a GoFundMe page established for the boy's funeral expenses.

So far, $7,320 of the $15,000 goal has been raised.

Kristopher Alexander Taylor, 26, of Apple Valley was arrested at Regions Hospital after bringing his son there Saturday.

The boy was pronounced dead on arrival, KSTP reports. Taylor was charged with second-degree manslaughter Monday.

Hyperthermia was ruled the cause of death by the medical examiner, KARE 11 reported.
