Vote for Eastview Grad to Win Teach for America Video Contest

Katie Brown, a 2006 Eastview graduate now teaching in Milwaukee as part of Teach for America, could win $500 for her classroom's library if she gets the most votes from the public.

I received a note yesterday evening that 2006 Eastview graduate Katie Brown, who is teaching in Milwaukee as part of the Teach for America program, is one of five finalists in the organization's Show and Tell video contest—and she needs your votes by April 15.

The contest encourages teachers to make a video or take photos to convey what they've experienced through Teach for America. Brown's video her students—the 25 Wisconsin Badgers of classroom 211 at Milwaukee College Preparatory School—reciting their Badgers mission statement.

Should she win, Brown would receive $500 for a new library in her classroom, according to the Support Teach for America Milwaukee Facebook page
