Watch: City Council Celebrates Chipotle Opening in Rosemount

Who doesn't love a good burrito? On Thursday, the Rosemount City Council joined the area Chamber of Commerce to welcome Chipotle Mexican Grill to the city.

The new restaurant is located at 3390 150th St W..

Rosemount Mayor Bill Droste says city officials have been working towards the opening of the restaurant for "a little over two years."

"I will say in the last two years, the number one question I've been asked is 'will Chipotle been built?' and when they started the store the next question, continually, was 'when will it open?'"

"Today, I can say, they're open."

City officials said on Facebook that dedicated Chipotle fan "Jenny" was the first to be served.
