WATCH: Highway 52 Closed In Rosemount After Semi With Raised Trailer Hits Bridge

ROSEMOUNT, MN — Highway 52 north was closed between Coates and Highway 55 Tuesday morning after a semi-truck struck the underside of a bridge while its trailer was still raised.

The collision happened at about 9:15 a.m.

Video of the crash shows the truck approaching the overpass with its trailer extended upward before the impact tears the trailer loose, throwing it onto the pavement and into one of the bridge's support columns.

A vehicle traveling behind the semi swerves and slows to avoid the debris.

Minnesota State Patrol troopers responded to the scene alongside local officials.
