School rules laid out for e-bikes, e-scooters in District 191 (hometownsource.com) — Students in Burnsville-Eagan-Savage District 191 who bring e-bikes or e-scooters to school will now have to register them, walk them on campus, and follow new safety rules or risk losing their permit. The updated handbook also tightens language on attendance, bans physical violence with stronger consequences, restricts cell phone use in classrooms, and notes a forthcoming district policy on artificial intelligence.

Apple Crime Log: Campaign Sign AirTags, Instacart iPad Scam, and Fauci's iPhone (idropnews.com) — Burnsville shoppers should know a 21-year-old Detroit man was arrested here after allegedly using a fake Instacart order to walk out of Target with $5,300 in iPads, part of a broader scam tied to other Minnesota stores. A Dakota County judge set his bail at $10,000, as similar Apple-product thefts are being reported in other states.
   

3. Here's how you can get to the Minnesota State Fair in 2026 (cbsnews.com) — If you're heading to the State Fair from Burnsville Valley Transit Authority will run express buses from its Burnsville site for $6 round trip with free parking. 4. Report of Armed Person at Farmington High School Turns Out to Be Person Carrying Media Tripod (limitless-news.com) — Burnsville police were among several agencies rushing to Farmington High School after a 911 report of an armed person, which turned out to be someone carrying a media tripod. Authorities quickly determined there was no threat, and officials emphasized their appreciation for the rapid multi-agency response that kept students and staff safe. No injuries or arrests were reported.
