• Auto shop slated for old Shell station site in Burnsville (hometownsource.com) — A long-vacant Shell station at County Road 5 and Crystal Lake Road West in Burnsville is set to become a new Boeser Automotive shop, pending final City Council approval. The 8,700-square-foot, nine-bay facility would bring minor auto repair services, add landscaping and screening near nearby homes, and follows a zoning change allowing such shops as conditional uses in neighborhood business districts.
   

• Report of Armed Person at Farmington High School Turns Out to Be Person Carrying Media Tripod (limitless-news.com) — Burnsville residents should know their police department helped respond to a reported armed person at Farmington High School Thursday, which turned out to be someone carrying a media tripod. Multiple agencies quickly secured the scene, confirmed there was no real threat, and emphasized appreciation for the fast, coordinated response that kept students and staff safe.
