Blaze Runners Compete At Roy Griak Invitational
Burnville boys duo, full girls team take part in multi-state meet on Saturday.
It was a perfect day for a run and several Burnsville cross-country runners took full advantage by competing in the multi-state Roy Griak Invitational on Saturday afternoon at the University of Minnesota's Les Bolstad Golf Course in St. Paul.
A pair of Blaze boys runners competed in the Gold Division five-kilometer race, with Cole O'Brien finishing eighth in a time of 16 minutes, 8.19 seconds and teammate Abdulah Saleh taking 36th in 16:39.24.
A full Burnsville girls team contingent raced, finishing 37th overall in the 44-team Gold Division field.

Vivian Hett paced the squad with a 15th-place finish of 19:22.1 on the 5K course. Also accounting for the Blaze's team total were: Rissa Lane (21:10.9) in 155th, Johanna Weber (21:22.3) in 172nd, Laura Comee (22:36.6) in 307th and Kjerstin Narvesen (22:41.6) in 314th.
Among other Burnsville runners placing among the 410 girls finishers were: Sierra Adrian (22:59.3) in 329th, Tori Felton (23:06.6) in 338th, Lisa Ranft (24:00.4) in 370th and Jordan Horner (24:10.9) in 379th.
