Check Your Storm Sewer for Blockage
Take a look at the storm sewer grate along the curb near your residence. If it is clogged, this is a good time to remove the debris.

Just a quick reminder. If you have a storm sewer grate near your residence, now is a good time to check it for blockage.
With the wonderful Spring weather, the maple and other trees have had a bumper crop of seeds and many of them end up in the gutter. The next time we get a good rain, those seeds and foliage will clog up your storm water grate which can result in flooding your street and yard. In addition, all of that plant material washing down the storm sewer adds to the pollution of our holding ponds and watershed. So if you have a grate near your house, be a good citizen and sweep it up so the water can flow freely. Please dispose of the debris properly as yard waste. Next downpour you'll be happy you took a few minutes to do this minor bit of maintanence.
