CUE TIPS: World Championship Experience Unforgettable

April Larson says her recent experience at the world junior championships in Germany was 'unforgettable'.

April Larson recently returned from a trip to Germany, where she competed in a junior world championship. Here's what she had to say about her experience:

"What an experience Germany was! I met so many new friends from all over the world. There were 30 countries at the world tournament.

"I became really good friends with the Canadians, Europeans and a few Japanese kids. The first match was against a European girl names Ana, and it was a close race to seven. I lost 7-6.

"My next match was against a Japanese girl and I lost to her also, 7-2.

"I hope to make it further if I ever get another chance to attend the World Junior 9-ball championship. The winner of my division was a girl from Belgium who beat last year's champion 7-0.

"The people I met were so nice and it was fun to hang out with kids that have the same interest as me — POOL!!!! I wish my extended family and friends could have come with. Thank you Shooters and AAA for all your support and well wishes, I will never forget this experience. This chance of a lifetime would not have been possible without all you have done for my family! Thank you all very much, love April."

April was the youngest player to qualify for the tournament in her age group, and she was three years younger than the next-youngest player in the division.
