The Burnsville Market Report

Welcome to my blog on Burnsville real estate and the real estate market in general.  My goal is to share what is happening in the marketplace and discuss current issues impacting our community.  Real estate is truly on one of the last bastions of supply and demand economics.  In the years prior to and during the run up of home prices, we had a limited supply of homes relative to the demand.  Demand drove up prices and as prices rose more inventory became available and soon we had a bubble.  Since the decline, we have had an excess of inventory that has slowly been absorbed by new buyers and investors as well as traditional buyers seeing great opportunities.  Too a large degree that is where we find ourselves today.

Money is cheap, but credit is tight, inventory is high but not in all price ranges.  There are certainly challenging stories in the current market, but also plenty of positive signs of a real estate recovery.
