Burnsville coach Greg Nesbitt said he was happy with how the Cobras played.

“Our pitcher threw real well, I think we’ve had like five complete games in a row,” said Nesbitt. “Especially played five games this weekend and then we had six league in the last four days so we’ve had 11 games in a week’s time. Pitching has been very key and for our pitchers to stretch themselves out a little bit and throw a complete game its helped to have a lot of arms. Offensively it was a good effort. Vanderwoude did very well. And we ran. I think we stole like five or six bases.”

Burnsville improved to 24-5 on the season and 12-2 in league play, finishing in first place in the conference.
