Burnsville Heart of the City Race Will Be 'A Run to Remember'
One of the founders of the Heart of the City race in Burnsville, Trish Wehling, lost her daughter in a car accident in 2013.
In 2013, one of the founders of the Heart of the City race in Burnsville, Trish Wehling, lost her daughter Jordan in a car accident.
Jordan was 18 and volunteered for the Heart of the City Races because she knew the race would directly benefit kids in need.

This year, the city will be celebrating and honoring all lost loved ones by dedicating the race as "A Run to Remember", according to a post on the event's Facebook page.
The race takes place Saturday, Sept. 10. It starts at Burnsville City Hall, 100 Civic Center Parkway Burnsville, MN 55337.

Participants can register here. Race proceeds will go to the Kids Feeding Kids program, a partnership with the Twin Cities Boys and Girls Club.
Race Day Schedule:
7:00 a.m. - Race day registration and packet pick-up
8:00 a.m - 10K
8:05 a.m - 5K
9:15 a.m- 1K for kids under 10
Awards and raffle drawing will take place immediately after races are completed.
