Burnsville Legion Earns State Berth
The Cobras, along with Lakeville North and Eastview, advanced out of District 3 to the state tournament

The Burnsville American Legion baseball team advanced to the Minnesota state tournament on Saturday at Alimagnet Park.
The top-seeded Cobras lost the District 3 championship game to Eastview, losing a 7-2 decision.
The loss sent Burnsville to one of the district’s two runner-up games against Eagan. The Cobras beat Eagan 16-6, which granted them a spot in the state tournament.

The state tournament will be held in Eden Prairie and begins Friday.
District 3 sends three teams to state. Lakeville North won its runner-up game 9-4 against East Ridge and secured the district’s final state spot.

Burnsville finished the section tournament with a 4-1 record. The Cobras beat East Ridge 9-2, St. Paul Park 5-3 and Lakeville North 6-1 leading into its matchup with Eastview on Saturday.
