Burnsville Police Seek Man Involved In 'Suspicious Incidents'
A teenage girl reported to police that a man in a red Jeep began following her on Barbara Lane in Burnsville Sunday.

Burnsville police are investigating reports of suspicious behavior involving a man driving a red Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. On Sunday the Burnsville Police Department received a report about a suspicious vehicle following a teenage girl.
The teen said she was walking her dog at about 2 p.m. in the 3300 block of Barbara Lane when a red Jeep appeared to begin following her. She told police she did not interact with the driver and was able to get to a neighbor’s house. The vehicle then reportedly sped away as she went inside.
On Feb. 20, police received a second report of a man in a similarly-described vehicle. The report said on Feb. 18 around 1 p.m., a man tried to speak to two young children outside their home in the 14800 block of White Oak Drive.

The report also noted the man said things along the lines of "do you live nearby" and "come closer to the vehicle." The children said they ignored the man and he eventually drove away.
Burnsville police are attempting to determine the identity of the man involved in these incidents. In both reports, the driver was described as being a white man in his 40s or 50s wearing glasses.

The vehicle is believed to have been captured in a surveillance photo (seen above) and is described as being a 1999-2004 red Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. Anyone with information is asked to call Burnsville detective Andrea Newton at (952) 895-4670.
