Burnsville Track Sends Individuals To State Meet
The Blaze had three individuals compete at the Class AA meet on Friday and Saturday

The Burnsville boys and girls track and field teams sent individuals to the Class AA state meet on Friday and Saturday at Hamline University in St. Paul.
The Blaze girls team finished with four team points, while the boys did not register points at the meet. Hopkins won the girls event with 84 points, while Stillwater won the boys state title with 47 points.
On the girls side, junior Lateeka Thompson finished sixth overall in the shot put with a 38-foot, 5-inch leap. St. Francis’ Maggie Ewen won the event at 44 feet, 7.25 inches.

Freshman Vivian Hett finished 14th in the 3200 meter run at 11:22.86.
For the boys, junior Antony Odera finished 11th overall in the boys long jump. His best leap was 21 feet, 2.75 inches.
