Burnsville's Wheeler Set To Play For NDSU Lacrosse
The standout Blaze defender will join the Bison for the 2012 season, the team announced Wednesday
The North Dakota State University men’s lacrosse team announced Wednesday that Burnsville High School graduate Scott Wheeler will join the Bison as part of the 2012 recruiting class.
Wheeler, a standout for the Blaze, was one of the state’s top defenders as a senior last spring. He began starting for Burnsville as a sophomore and played for the Minnesota Frost summer program. According to the Bisons’ press release, the team said Wheeler “has great size and will be able to make a seamless transition to the MCLA (Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association).”
Wheeler helped Burnsville to a 7-6 record last spring, including a 6-3 record in the South Suburban Conference.
