FREE Electronics Recycling Event at Empty the Nest Showroom

On Saturday, August 17, Empty the Nest will partner with Tech Dump, an electronics recycling nonprofit, to collect unwanted electronics (gently used, obsolete, or damaged) from 10am-2pm at their Showroom parking lot in Burnsville.

Bring computers, cell phones, electrical cords, internal/external drives, other misc. electronic accessories, TVs, and monitors ($10-donation requested for CRT TVs and monitors—non-flat panels). Tech Dump will destroy all information and data at their facility in Golden Valley.  Tech Dump is a Minnesota and Hennepin County licensed electronics recycler.  To find out more and for a list of accepted items, visit their website at TechDump.org/nest.

The event will be held from 10am-2pm in the parking lot of Empty the Nest’s Retail Showroom at 1121 Cliff Road E, Burnsville, MN 55337. The showroom is open Mon-Wed and Fri-Sat 10am-4pm and Thursdays 10am- 6pm. Visit their website for other upcoming events and more information at emptythenest.net.

Empty the Nest’s Retail Showroom offers many one-of-a-kind, unique treasures from home and estate cleanouts throughout the Minneapolis/St. Paul area at thrift prices. Empty the Nest also provides a wall-to-wall cleanout service to recycle and find new homes for the unwanted furniture and household items.

Empty the Nest strives to leave the smallest footprint possible on the environment by breathing renewed life into as many items as possible and retiring the unusable in the most ecologically-friendly ways. A community event to responsibly dispose of electronics is just one of the many ways they accomplish this mission.
