FRESH Fall Film: “Turn Here Sweet Corn”

Instructor: Loris Sofia Gregory

Cost: Free but you must pre-register.

Atina and Martin Diffley owned and operated Gardens of Eagan, one of the first certified organic produce farms in the Midwest, from 1973 to 2008.  An award-winning documentary that debuted on PBS in 1991, “Turn Here Sweet Corn” tells the personal story of Atina and Martin losing their 5th generation Diffley family farm and cornfields to suburban development and shopping malls. This film is a “must see” companion to Atina Diffley’s book, Turn Here Sweet Corn: Organic Farming Works (U of MN Press, April 2012). The book is available for purchase in-store. Health Coach Loris Sofia Gregory will lead conversation following the film. Learn more about Atina Diffley here: http://atinadiffley.com/
