Writing Group-Theme: Writing Good Characters

This weeks theme will be on Characters.

How do we create interesting characters? What is the difference between a protagonist and an antagonist and does every story need both? How do we introduce our readers to characters without just listing information about them? Is there a limit to how may characters should be introduced in a book?

We will discuss character building and use a writing exercise to explore new ways of describing our main characters. Please bring with you any tips on creating characters that you have learned, as well as any short articles, quotes, or books you may have collected on the topic.
