Get Out This Weekend, Burnsville

The days are flying by and as the weekend nears our thoughts turn to fun and relaxation time. Patch highlights a few activities you might want to check out.

The ghost and goblins are out this weekend, a local philanthropist and author reads by the outdoor fire, go craft or baked goods shopping and listen to some beautiful music by local talent.

Why Go: More than 100 ghouls, goblins, and vampires welcome you into their homes. Visit the Asylum, Haunted Hollow, Freight Factory and Orchard Manor Dead & Breakfast.

When/Where: 1-4 p.m. Sunday; Caponi Art Park, Eagan

Why Go: Anthony Caponi, author and founder of the park, will read a select passage of Meaning Beyond Reason at 2 p.m. next to the outdoor fireplace in the Sculpture Garden.

When/Where: 2 p.m. Sunday;

Why Go: Artist, Author, Illustrator and Minnesotan, Debra Frasier joins as Narrator of her first book: On the Day You Were Born as set to music by fellow Minnesotan, Steve Heitzig.

When/Where: 11 a.m. Saturday;

Why Go: Shop the many tables at the yard sale, purchase a pie or some baked goods, tour the community vegetable, rain and prairie garden, all to live music!
