Orange Line Would Connect Burnsville to Downtown Minneapolis
The proposed project must receive local county approval by Sept. 2 in order to receive federal funding.

The Metro Orange Line is a 17-mile planned highway bus rapid transit line that would connect downtown Minneapolis to Burnsville via Interstate 35W.
The route would upgrade and replace existing local route 535 with new station features that would benefit other transit riders along the I-35W corridor, according to the Metro Transit website.
WCCO reported that Hennepin County’s transit improvement board still has vote on whether or not to approve $45 million for the project.
