Blaze improve to 18-3 with a 13-0 routing of Irish in Section 3AAA Tournament contest at Alimagnet Park on Monday afternoon.

It was a dominant start to the postseason for the Burnsville baseball team as the top-seeded Blaze dismantled South Suburban Conference rival and No. 9 seed Rosemount, 13-0, in five innings at Alimagnet Park on a muggy and windy Monday afternoon.

Starting pitcher Quinn Johnson was staked to a 4-0 lead by his Blaze teammates by the time he took the mound in the second inning and the senior proceeded to allow Rosemount just three hits over his four innings of work before reliever Adam Lambrecht closed out the victory with a one-hit fifth.

Burnsville scored in every inning, posting a six-run third frame that was highlighted by a two-run home run by infielder Matt Stemper that gave the Blaze an 11-0 lead.
