Arbors at Ridges was packed with people, civil servants, tacos, fake margaritas and a mariachi band

For the second consecutive year, the Arbors at Ridges assisted living campus in Burnsville hosted a Cinco de Mayo-themed lunch to help raise money for the Burnsville Fire Department (BFD).

All proceeds from the event will be used by the BFD to purchase additional Fire Survivor Escape Systems which allow firefighters to quickly and efficiently remove themselves and others during a structure fire.

"Right now, we have enough escape systems for every firefighter riding in the truck. But if we're called to a fire from home, that's when a shortage of the systems might present a problem," Captain Paramedic Bill D'Agostino said.
