BURNSVILLE, MN — President Donald Trump will spend Tax Day on his first official White House visit to Minnesota. He is set to visit Nuss Truck and Equipment in Burnsville Monday. There, Trump will participate in a roundtable discussion on the economy and tax reform.

He is expected to talk up the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, signed into law in 2017. Members of Trump's cabinet began touting the plan last week.

On Monday, Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin praised the legislation, stating in a CNN opinion piece that "this is the first year that the benefits of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act have been improving the lives of our citizens."

"In fact, we are pleased to report that we have experienced a year of more jobs, bigger paychecks, increased business investment and lower tax liability," Mnuchin added.

It's Trump's third time visiting Minnesota since he was elected in 2016. Last year, Trump held campaign rallies in Duluth and Rochester ahead of the midterms.

Ahead of Trump's visit Monday, Senator and presidential candidate Amy Klobuchar released 12 years of tax returns and called on the president to do the same.

"I believe in transparency and accountability," she said in a statement. "That’s why I’ve released my tax returns and why I’m calling on Donald Trump to finally release his tax returns and quit hiding from the American people."

Klobuchar also criticized the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, saying that money for Trump’s tax breaks for the wealthy should have been invested the crumbling infrastructure.

Trump's roundtable on the economy is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. Watch a live stream of the event below:
