Savage Republican Introduces Bill To Ban 'The Bachelor' Arie
Minnesota State Rep. Drew Christensen's heart broke for Prior Lake's Becca Kufrin, who was dumped on the season finale of "The Bachelor."

SAVAGE, MN — Minnesota State Rep. Drew Christensen, a Republican from Savage, takes matters of the heart very seriously. Christensen has been in apparent turmoil ever since Monday night's episode of the "The Bachelor."
In the season finale, Becca Kufrin of Prior Lake, Minnesota — a town in Christensen's district — was proposed to by Arie Luyendyk Jr. only to be dumped by her fiancé for the show's original runner-up two weeks later.
Exasperated, Christensen told his Twitter followers he would author a bill banning Luyendyk Jr. from Minnesota if he received a 1,000 retweets in return. It happened in almost no time.

On Wednesday night, Christensen proved he wasn't messing around and posted an image of his bill banning Bachelor Arie from the Land of 10,000 Lakes:
I’m a man of my word—here’s the bill banning Arie. #TheBachelor #mnleg pic.twitter.com/a6YDVX4YVH

"The state of Minnesota hereby adopts a policy of zero tolerance of Arie Luyendyk Jr. from season 22 of The Bachelor," the bill reads. "It is state policy that every person in the state has a right to live free from the presence of Arie Luyendyk Jr. in the state."

Christensen later upped the ante and added that if he reached 10,000 retweets he would invite Kufrin to Minnesota’s next State of the State Address. That was no trouble at all:

Is the Minnesota lawmaker doing this all so he can win over Kufrin's broken heart? No way, says Christensen:

What's next for Kufrin? The "humble fan favorite" and "girl next door from Minnesota" will return for a second shot at love, starring on "The Bachelorette," ABC announced this week.
"With the help of her family and friends, Becca was able to pick up the pieces and put the focus back on herself, moving forward with her life," the TV network added.
"It is strong willpower and a firm set of Midwest values that lead Becca to one certain conclusion: She is willing to take another leap of faith to look for her soul mate, the love of her life, again. But this time, it will be on her terms and forever."
