Contractor / Teacher
Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
Since Covid has started they have been partnering with local food places (Outback, Dickey’s, Subway, etc.) and have been delivering 90-150 meals a week to the healthcare staff at Fairview Ridges in Burnsville.
Some weeks it’s been one meal, some weeks it is 3+ meals.
They have received some donations to help cover food cost, but they have also used their own money to make sure these healthcare workers are fed, appreciated and loved on during this time!
They have a Facebook page called “Grub for Scrubs MN.” These are two people who go above and beyond to help their community! Heath is a local contractor and Terese is a kindergarten teacher at Gideon Pond Elementary in Burnsville. They see a need and they will do whatever meals necessary to see that need be met. They will continue to do this as long as the healthcare workers need it!
What's one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?
They are the most humble and selfless people I’ve ever known!
Thank you for all you do, Heath and Terese!
