2017-2018 Eagan Funfest Ambassador Shares New Experiences

Hi, my name is Aaron Kabat, and I am one of your 2017-2018 Eagan Funfest Ambassadors, also known as “The Boy.” During the coronation, I had a lot of different emotions going through my head. I was excited to see which of us candidates would be selected, but I was also incredibly nervous. As soon as I heard my name called, the nervousness left my body and I was ecstatic. I am honored to be representing the great city of Eagan.

One of the first events that we attended was the sparkle Twins game. All royalty sat in the same area and it was neat being able to meet and talk to royalty from other cities. We were also able to walk around the field, which was great even knowing that we were going to need to clean our shoes! It was an extremely fun experience.

Another stepping stone in our journey was our first parade as Ambassadors. It took place during the Rosemount Leprechaun Days. It was a busy day full of hanging out with other royalty, decorating our float, and introducing ourselves to the people watching the parade. While we were one of the very last floats, number 91, it was really uplifting to see that almost everybody stayed to watch the whole thing. I am glad that I, along with the other Ambassadors, was able to participate in this event.

These past few weeks have been so much fun! I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the coming year. I look forward to serving our community and meeting new people within the community. Hopefully I will be able to meet you, (yes, you reading this), soon!
