After Six Months Alone in Eagan Woods, Dog Is Reunited with Family

A puppy that has been missing for six months in Eagan woods remarkably survived and has been reunited with her family.

Officials found Terra June, a Keeshond, living in the woods three miles from her home.

The Star Tribune reported that Terra June was reported missing by her owner six months ago, and Eagan animal control officer Bob Kent caught her on Monday.

For months, Kent heard from Eagan residents about a wondering dog. Some thought the animal might be a coyote or a raccoon.

“I assumed it was a coyote that caught up with its pack or a dog that was killed,” Kent said.

Given the huge growth in the suburban coyote population, Kent was surprised the dog was able to survive alone.

Later it was learned that Eagan construction workers were familiar with Terra June and had been feeding her for weeks.
