Aikido Courses Offered Through ISD 196 Community Education
AIKIDO--A GENTLE BUT EFFECTIVE MARTIAL ART
ISD 196 Community Education will offer an introductory course in Aikido.
This gentle, sometimes subtle martial art is one where strength is no
advantage--in fact, it often gets in the way. This makes the art a good
fit for smaller people such as teens and women. No punching, no
kicking, no bashing--no fooling! You will learn how defend yourself
without adding violence to a situation, how to make your point without
making a scene. We’ll also teach you how to fall without injury, a
valuable skill in itself. The 90 minutes sessions meet at Blackhawk
Middle School, starting on Sept 28 at 6:30pm and are taught by
blackbelt instructors from Twin Cities Aikido Center in St Paul. Class
size is limited for better instruction. See the listing AAIKI-F1 in the
print or on-line version of the Comm Ed catalog: https://district196.ce.feepay.com
