Eagan Funfest Ambassador Megan Abagat Reveals What it is Like to Be a Snowflake Bearer in Winter Carnival Parade
Lately these past few months, our events were really cold. But yesterday was a perfect weather for a parade in St. Paul. You might have even seen us in TV news for the Winter Carnival Parade! We were near the front, holding snowflakes. It was so amazing. We had the police band walking in front of us, and at some time we would march to the same beat to their music. In the middle of the parade, there was a bit of rain pouring down, and I reacted pretty calmly. But luckily it didn’t rain a lot so we continued. Also, we passed by so many cameras! It was super cool. In my head, I was like “Are we going to be on TV?!”, so I smiled as I waved to the crowd and that has to be one of the coolest moments ever. There weren't enough snowflakes, so we just pass it to each other. It helped a lot of passing it to each other. We had to wave while holding the snowflake, it took some time to get used to it. But overall it was worth it. I had my hand held up high waving to the kids and they waved back and smiled. Everyone’s smiles in the parade made my day. I couldn’t help but smile back. Thank for reading and dress warm everyone! Megan Abagat your Eagan Funfest Ambassador 2015-2016.
