Ambassadors Love Representing Eagan in Parades

Eagan Funfest Ambassador Megan Abagat Blogs about the Ambassador Program and Parade Fun

The days are getting hotter as summer comes in closer. Just yesterday we went to the West St. Paul Parade, and it was fantastic. It had been a long time that we've been in a parade, so all of us were excited. Before the parade we went to a reception, and we talked a lot to the Sparkle Section and also met the new King Borealis. The King had bright golden shoes, which I truly loved! Everyone was dressed for the weather, which was a hot day, but everyone was hydrated.
Finally we had set up our float and cheered on other floats that came before us. Then it was our turn and we waved to many people in the crowd. It was fun seeing the families along with their children. The music was upbeat and it made us dance to the song. Our speaking parts throughout the parade were one of my favorite parts. I personally had a fantastic time giving my speaking part. I always had the crowd shout with joy, and it made everyone cheerful. In the end, the parade was one of the most exciting parts as an ambassador. I would recommend this program to anyone who loves community involvement and volunteerism. This program had really taught me how to feel confident in myself speaking to many different kinds of people in our community.

Thank you for reading my blog and it is sad to say that this is my last blog as your Eagan Funfest Ambassador 2015 – 2016. With hugs and kisses, yours truly Megan Abagat.
