Ambassadors Make Daddy Daughter Dance Beary Special

Eagan Funfest Ambassador Leah Hed has Happy Memories

When I was little I remember going to the Daddy Daughter Dance with my Dad. We got to slow dance together and he gave me a beautiful rose. When I went to the Daddy Daughter Dance six years later in February as an Eagan Funfest Ambassador, and I saw the little girls with their Dads it reminded me of going with my Dad when I was six. The theme was "A Beary Special Daddy Daughter Dance" and all the little girls carried their favorite teddy bear. Some of the Eagan Funfest Ambassadors and I brought our teddy bears just like the little girls. When I first got there, Megan and I were welcoming the Dads and daughters as they arrived down the stairs and directing them to the sign-up table (see photo). Each of the little girls was full of excitement and dressed up in gowns and holding their teddy bears. When the dance started, my job was to give directions to the various activities and entertainment. My favorite moment of the whole evening was when I helped a little girl at the sticker station and she copied my design for herself! I also had fun dancing in a circle with the cute little girls while the Dads videotaped us. Sadly, all good things must come to an end. After everyone left we got to talk to the DJ and we helped clean up for the next Daddy Daughter Dance the following day. I remembered six years earlier, not wanting to leave the Daddy Daughter Dance because I had so much fun with my Dad. I felt the same after this Daddy Daughter Dance also and I am so glad that I got a chance to relive my happy memories with the lovely little girls of Eagan and their Dads! 2015-2016 Eagan Funfest Ambassador Leah Hed
