Ambassadors Meeting the Community

My name is Autumn Manni and I am one of the new 2016-2017 Eagan Funfest Ambassadors. I was only crowned about 1 month ago and already the other three Ambassadors and I have had a ton of fun and we have done several volunteer events!

The four of us all became Ambassadors on July 11th which was our coronation night. That night we all started off the evening by mingling with the other cities’ royalty and taking a lot of pictures. When it was finally time for the coronation to begin the other girls and I all had to go on stage one by one and introduce ourselves. While we were on stage we had to answer a fishbowl question which was really nerve racking. Thankfully we all did very well. When it was time for them to announce the new Ambassadors we were all really excited. They crowned Emma, Makenzie, Eden, and me. I remember we all held hands on stage and we all had huge smiles on our faces. Since that night the four of us have become fast friends and have had a lot of fun.

The most recent event we did was volunteer at Eagan’s Marketfest. Emma, Makenzie, and I started out the night greeting shoppers and handing out flyers, coupon books, and bags. People were curious why we were all wearing tiaras and sashes so we got to tell them all about the Eagan Funfest Ambassador program.

For fun we tried to walk on stilts which is harder than you think. Makenzie was a natural, but on the other hand, Emma and I were not. We both fell a couple of times, but don’t worry, our tiaras are just fine! Then we played at the park and little girls called us “princesses” which really put a big smile on my face.
I hope this year we will continue to have a lot of fun and help other people. So far I have learned a lot and I am excited about the future.
