EAGAN, MN — The Minnesota Vikings are bringing a familiar name into the building.
The team announced Wednesday that it has signed wide receivers Odell Beckham Jr. and Jeshaun Jones to its practice squad.
Beckham, a three-time Pro Bowl selection, won a Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams following the 2021 season. Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell was the Rams' offensive coordinator that year.
The longtime NFL receiver was a first-round pick of the New York Giants in 2014 and was named the league's Offensive Rookie of the Year that season.
Practice squad players train with the team throughout the week but are not part of the active 53-man roster. Teams can elevate practice squad players to the game day roster for individual games or sign them to the active roster outright.
The Vikings also shared an injury update Wednesday, announcing that center Michael Jurgens and tight end Ben Yurosek have returned to practice.
