BLOG: Ukrainian Style

An ensemble of children dressed in brightly colored, Ukrainian folk costumes danced for a crowd at Caponi Art Park on Tuesday morning.

Young dancers from the Cheremosh Ukrainian Dance Ensemble demonstrated traditional folk dances clad in brightly colored folk costumes. A big crowd of young families and others gathered at the outdoor theater stage at Caponi Art Park for the first in a summer long series of weekly Tuesday morning interactive entertainment. Their group has danced for over 60 years with a current roster of 67 dancers aged 4 to 22. This ensemble was named after the Cheremosh River in Western Ukraine.  For more information, click here.
