BLOG: Walking with the Cross

On Good Friday morning, more than 300 people from over 10 congregations gathered to carry the cross around a three-mile square. The procession began on Pilot Knob at and marched north to and on to the & Police Station. Other stops included the , and a park. At each stop, cross carriers switched, a Bible verse was read and participants sang a song. The route continued along Lexington Avenue past , and ended two hours later at where the tall, wooden cross was erected on their campus.
