Miata Club of Minnesota Participates in Funfest Parade
Blogger description of Miata Club participation in Eagan Parade--full disclosure, I'm a member of the club.
The Miata Club of Minnesota, North Star Chapter, had a sharp-looking parade unit again in 2012. Eighteen Miatas participated in Eagan’s largest community event. The parade of nearly 100 units had a beautiful sunny day. The Miata club was unit number 68 so all were thankful for the huge shade trees in the staging area that we could take shelter under. The Red, White, and Blue patriotic color scheme was evident including the order of cars two by two of Red, White, and Blue, followed by skittle colors. Former Miata Club member Debbie Stirtz—Eagan Convention and Visitors Bureau—provided color commentary of the event on the local Eagan Cable Network and later joined us for lunch with her husband. The older model Miatas were a hit with their blinking headlights. Candy was handed out by a number of Miata club members. Lunch which followed was delicious at the Doolittle’s Woodfire Grill in Eagan.
