Cheerful Givers Receives Grant From 2014 Carl Pohlad Award

Congratulations to Minnesota Twins pitcher, Brian Duensing, the recipient of the 2014 Carl R Pohlad Award for Community Service.

Minnesota Twins Executive Director, Bryan Donaldson commented “Each year the Twins Community Fund Board of Directors recognize one player who exemplifies the community giving spirit of the Twins’ late owner, Carl Pohlad. Brian Duensing is the recipient of this award for 2014 because of his and his wife Lisa’s work with Cheerful Givers and other worthy causes. The winner is able to direct a $5,000 grant to the charity of their choice, and Brian chose Cheerful Givers.”

Since 1994, Cheerful Givers has provided more than 800,000 less fortunate children in Minnesota with birthday gifts. www.cheerfulgivers.org
