Preliminary planning includes public open house

City of South St. Paul, Dakota County working together on improvement project

As planning begins for the Southview Boulevard and 3rd Avenue Improvement Project, the city of South St. Paul and Dakota County are hosting a public open house to share the project schedule and process, identify opportunities for public and stakeholder involvement, and gather public input on traffic concerns, transit facilities, pedestrian accessibility and more.

The public is invited to stop by the open house anytime between 5 and 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, in the City Council Chambers at South St. Paul City Hall, 125 Third Ave. N.

The project includes Southview Boulevard between 20th Avenue and 3rd Avenue, and 3rd Avenue between Southview Boulevard and Marie Avenue. The purpose of the project is to address aging infrastructure, pedestrian/bicycle and transit accommodations, streetscape elements, traffic operational and safety needs, and business accommodations.
