Dalvin Cook Agrees To Extension With Minnesota Vikings: Report

EAGAN, MN — Star running back Dalvin Cook is going to be with the Minnesota Vikings for the long haul. Cook 24, has reportedly agreed a five-year contract extension with the club, meaning he will be in Minnesota for at least six more seasons.

The news was broken by ESPN reporter Adam Schefter on Twitter Saturday.

According to Schefter, Cook will average $12.5 million per year in the new contract.

Cook rushed for over 1100 yards and scored 13 touchdowns last season, according to Pro Football Reference, making him one of the most productive running backs in the NFL. He was selected for the Pro Bowl.

The Vikings play the Green Bay Packers to kickoff the 2020 season Sunday at 12 p.m. at home.
