Eagan Approves Vikings Headquarters Development

The Minnesota Vikings will be able to move their headquarters and practice facility to Eagan by spring of 2018.

Eagan, MN – By a 5-0 vote, the Eagan City Council approved five motions that will result in a 200-acre development and the Minnesota Vikings relocating their headquarters and practice facility to Eagan by spring of 2018.

Council members praised the proposals for adding to the tax base and revitalizing an importer quarter of the community, according to a news release.

In a statement, Mayor Mike Maguire said "There is a strong sense of accomplishment. The Minnesota Vikings are coming to Eagan. Only 32 cities in America can claim NFL headquarters and Eagan is now one of those. We’re excited about what the future holds. It’s the result of good teamwork by both organizations. We’ve said all along that Eagan (its staff and Council) is experienced in handling large, complex proposals and getting them through an efficient, yet thorough, approval process."
